Are you sick of the motion blur in Final Fantasy 16? Do you want to turn it off? Motion Blur is a feature in games that is meant to replicate the motion effect that happens when you move your head quickly. However, there are many who don’t like the feature and would rather just do away with it.

As you progress through Final Fantasy 16, you will need to deal with a lot of combat. With this combat comes a lot of motion blur effects that can make some sick to their stomach. This guide will show you how to turn off motion blur in Final Fantasy 16.

Can you turn off motion blur in FF16?

If you were hoping to be able to turn off this feature, unfortunately, motion blur is not an effect you can turn off in Final Fantasy 16. This is very unfortunate for those who get sick from the feature. If you go through the settings in the game, you will see that there is currently no toggle that will allow you to turn motion blur on and off. It is permanently on.

There is a chance that Square Enix could add the feature later on. After all, it is a pretty simple addition that can be made. Luckily, if you are one of the ones who doesn’t like motion blur, there is a way to reduce it. You will need to mess with a few settings to do so.

How to reduce motion blur in Final Fantasy 16?

While you can’t turn motion blur off, you can minimize the effect by changing some of the settings. Follow these steps to reduce the motion blur in the game:

  1. Press the options button to open the in-game menu.
  2. Use the R2 button to navigate to the system menu.
  3. Navigate to the graphics settings option identified by the monitor symbol.
  4. Change the Game Performance option to prioritize frame rate.

With the settings changed to frame rate, you will experience a slightly smoother gameplay experience. While this won’t completely remove the motion blur, you should at least experience a less intense version of it.
