The Kyononis Shrine doesn’t involve you solving a puzzle or using any sort of ability. Instead, it’s focused on combat and teaches you how to hop, dodge, and activate flurry rush. To become the best swordsman in Hyrule, here’s how to quickly complete the Kyononis Shrine.
Where is the Kyononis Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom?
The Kyononis Shrine is the first shrine you’ll find when you enter the Central Square of Hyrule Castle Town. You’ll find it near a tent encampment to the right near a large rock formation. It’s the blue shrine on the map just to the right of the cursor.
How to complete the Kyononis Shrine
Once inside, you’ll get a cutscene with a Zonai Construct explaining to complete the shrine you must follow its instructions. Basically, you’ll need to perform a side hop, dodge, backflip, parry, and charged attack to defeat the Constructs.
- Side hop dodge to avoid an attack. Hold ZL, strafe to the side with the Left Stick, and jump with X. When performed successfully, activate flurry rush to attack the Construct.
- Parry the Construct’s attack to achieve a Perfect Guard. Hold up your shield with ZL and block with A.
- Backflip dodge to avoid an attack. Hold ZL, pull back on the Left Stick, and press X to flip backward.
- Charge your weapon and attack the Construct. Hold Y to charge up a mighty swing and release it.
Defeating the Construct rewards Link with a Construct bow and a Zonai Charge. This will also unlock the door to the statues where you’ll find a chest with a Zonaite sword inside. Activate the statues to get the Lights of Blessing.
