The Sepapa Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one which revolves entirely around the use of the rewind power. Each puzzle forces the player to use this ability in new and creative ways.

Where to Find Sepapa Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

The Sepapa Shrine is located in the northeastern portion of central Hyrule. It is east of Hyrule Castle and north of Hyrule Forest Park. The landmass that it is on is surrounded by water, but can easily be reached by crossing either the Helmhead Bridge in the north or the boneyard bridge in the south. Its coordinates are 0221, 1085, 0028.

How to Complete the Puzzles in Sepapa Shine in Tears of the Kingdom

The puzzles in this shrine all revolve around the use of the rewind power. The first challenge that you will come across is a platform that moves around in a circle through a pair of slits in a stone barrier. The goal of this puzzle is to make it to the upper area, but this initially seems impossible because the platform moves counterclockwise and you cannot ride it all the way around. The solution is to jump onto the platform and then utilize rewind to make it move clockwise, this will lift you up to where you want to go.

In the next area, you will find a locked door with a pair of unlit braziers. The goal is to light the braziers which will open the door. To the side, you will find an unlit torch laying on the ground, as well as a flowing body of water in the middle of which is a set of lit braziers. Wooden rafts continually spawn and are carried by the current away from you and pass by the fires. The solution is to jump onto the raft and allow the current to carry you past the fire. Then use rewind on the raft to have it reverse direction, on the way back light the torch on the fire. You have to light the torch after you have activated rewind because otherwise Link will put away and extinguish the torch when he uses the power. Then simply jump off of the raft and use the torch to light the two braziers.

Conversely, you can bypass this entire puzzle if you have some way to create fire, such as using a bundle of wood and some flint, a ruby rod, a fire Wizrobe Staff, or a Zonai Flame Emiter.

The next room will confront the player with 2 locked gates, one in front of the other. Off to the side, you will find a ball and two ball switches, one higher than the other. When activated by placing the ball inside each switch opens one of the two doors, the higher one opens the inner door, and the lower switch opens the inner door. When the ball is removed from a switch its corresponding door closes, and so the objective of this puzzle is to somehow get through both doors despite only having a single ball. Use the Ultrahand to move the ball first into the uppermost switch and then into the lower one. Leave the ball in the lower switch, then go past the outer door to the middle area between the two doors. Then simply use rewind on the ball which will cause it to go back into the first switch activating the inner door which you can then go through. After that, you are done.
