How does Grandpa work in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game? Grandpa is a strange mechanic in the game that seems to appear out of nowhere and tells the killers where all of the survivors are located. It is safe to say that you can’t get through a game without waking Grandpa up so no matter what, the family will get his help.

No matter which side you are on, there is a way to interact with Grandpa, whether that be feeding him or hurting him. It is important to know how this elderly foe works in the game. So how does Grandpa work in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game?

Grandpa’s abilities in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game

Grandpa has only one ability in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game and that is a sonar ability. When Grandpa is fed by one of the family members, he will emit a sonar pulse that will show the family where all the survivors are.

This is a powerful ability that will help the killers track down the survivors who are revealed in this way. Luckily, the power can be avoided by standing still whenever it goes off.

How to feed Grandpa in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game

If you are a member of the family, you will need to feed Grandpa to get his ability to work. To feed Grandpa, you need to collect blood. This will power his ability and level him up. As Grandpa levels up, his ability will activate more often.

You can get blood by gathering it around the map and by hurting survivors. When a survivor is hurt or killed, they will drop blood. All you need to do is bring the blood to Grandpa to feed him.

How to hurt Grandpa in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game

If you are one of the survivors, you can damage Grandpa and stun him for a short while. This is done by collecting bone scraps around the map. If you have seen bone piles lying around, interact with them to collect bone scraps.

Use a bone scrap on Grandpa to stun him. This will prevent him from being able to use his ability until he has fully recovered. Unfortunately, this will not take away his power permanently or prevent him from using it in the future.
