Earlier this month, Netflix announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be debuting a new extended look on its platform, which came as a shock to many. Since then, fans have been left to speculate on what this extended look could include, ranging from new gameplay, in-depth story details, or the reveal of the newly constructed GTA Online format. And as of today, new alleged leaks suggest that fans could be in for a whole lot more than they bargained for later this month.
It Comes in Threes
An interesting post was originally spotted by GameRant on the GTA 6 subreddit. The post in question cited a now-revised Netflix Portugal page that claims this new rollout of GTA 6 content will be three episodes long. Each of the three episodes varies in length, with episode one coming in at around 23 minutes and 37 seconds, episode 2 coming in at 24 minutes and 41 seconds, and episode 3 being the shortest of the bunch at 18 minutes and 29 seconds.
Since the post made the rounds online, any mention of the three episodes has been scrubbed, and the Portugal website specifically has since been updated. And some users went on to claim that this could also just be a bug on the website or potentially a shrewd use of generative AI.
Lights, Camera, Action!
When you take a step back and look at this picture, it isn’t too wild to assume that Rockstar could be looking to release 3 episodes worth of GTA 6-related content since this will be a very expansive game. One could also assume the game’s story, multiplayer, and any other fun bits can occupy 30 minutes of time each. Another theory involves these three episodes being a cinematic mini-series that tells the story of Jason and Lucia before the events of the game. But for now, we must wait to get official word from either Rockstar, Netflix, or Take-Two to know for sure.
