Microsoft has been celebrating 25 years of Xbox in a major way with their most recent announcement featuring a plethora of Xbox-themed furniture. While that announcement may be a bit more niche, this latest announcement will no doubt appeal to the masses. Mattel Brock Shop just revealed a brand new 3,509-piece set that recreates a full-scale original Xbox console along with the iconic Duke controller. This set also comes with lights, sounds, 12 NanoWorld figures, and interactive scenes from legendary Xbox titles such as Halo, Morrowind, and Psychonauts.

Mattel’s original Xbox set will be priced at $324 and is expected to ship by October 16, 2026. The set features controller-activated lights and sounds, and buildable dioramas from Psychonauts, Halo, and Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Mattel states that they are aiming this set at collectors who have been on the hunt for a proper tribute to the original Xbox.

I have no doubts that this Xbox set will sell out fairly quickly despite the price. It pays homage to the console and games that started it all for Xbox and was executed in a beautiful way. Not to mention the dioramas that seemingly tuck into the build without a trace instantly make them a sight to behold. This is a trend more console makers should get behind, all to offer fans of those consoles a much-needed nostalgia hit and display piece they can be proud of.
