If you weren’t aware, supply lines run between the various plants that make up the universe surrounding Super Earth in Helldivers 2. This important fact has many players attempting to liberate Martale in the Andromeda Sector in hopes that it will complete the Charon defense mission with success. After all, the two planets are connected via a supply line so, in theory, this should work. Well, we officially have confirmation from Joel himself that this will indeed work as planned.
Helldivers 2 community manager Spitz gave an update in the Helldivers 2 Discord that the Martale gambit will work if we are successful at taking back the planet from the Automatons. This post was captured by user Herr_Medicinal_Mann on Reddit. In the post from the Helldivers community manager, they stated that Joel “will honor that commitment by granting the win on Charon.”
While the systems are not designed to work like this yet, Joel (our mysterious war master) can manually change the results of the Charon defense mission if we are successful in our gambit. Spitz went on to say, “Our galactic war systems are meant to work that way, but don’t have that functionality yet.” In other words, the supply lines will matter in the future when Arrowhead can make the change in the system.
In a separate post, Spitz stated, “Since the systems are meant to work this way (supply lines affect which planets are open to attack) but does not currently function that way automatically, please let me know if the community does manage to cut off a planet and I’ll pass on the information to Joel so we can make sure that it’s consistent.” So it is up to us to let them know if we manage to take Martale and successfully cut off Charon from its supplies.
Many are excited by the gambit and are taking the fight to Martale for democracy. If you wish to join the fight, focus your attacks on Martale so we can liberate the planet as fast as possible!
