Great job once more, Helldivers! You pushed back the Terminid swarms by killing over 2 billion bugs in around 12 hours. While we were congratulated, we knew the fight wouldn’t be over. Rather than giving us some time off, a new major order soon appeared on the map. This time, we have been tasked with successfully defending 10 planets from the Terminids and the Automatons… and we only have five days to get it done. That is a tall order after killing 2 billion bugs but many Helldivers are confident we can get it done!
The new order appeared on the map around 11am EDT / 8am PDT. As of writing this, there has been no progress made towards the percentage bar but Helldivers are putting in the work as multiple planets are currently being defended.
Arrowhead community manager, Spitz on the Helldivers 2 Discord shared a message about the major order and they don’t seem very confident that the Helldivers will get this one done in time. Shared on Reddit by user DaddyKlutch30, Spitz said in the post, “Both factions are pushing hard and attempting to reclaim territory.” It’s unlikely you’ll be able to hold them all.”
One user commented on the Reddit thread saying, “Is it just me, or did anybody else read that as a challenge?” Another user stated, “Yes 10 defenses in 6 days is tough af, but doable if we focus our forces on 2 defense missions at a time and don’t spread our forces across 5.” While there are some who are a bit bent out of shape about the new major order being so difficult, there are many who welcome this challenge as a means of showing the community managers what they are made of. Get ready to join in the fight Helldiver, there are bugs and robots to kill!
