If you’ve been paying attention to the recent wave of news, you have probably noticed the red wave that is Redfall. All the red isn’t coming from the blood of the vampires like it’s supposed to, but rather the wave of horrible reviews and poor user experiences.
Redfall launched to some horrible feedback from multiple sources and has even evoked memories of the disastrous launch of Fallout 76 in 2013.
Users across Twitter have been sharing their experiences with Redfall over the past 24 hours and very little of it has been positive. Arkane Studios released a statement about the issues that have been plaguing players. Unfortunately, it looks like any patch addressing the countless problems isn’t slated to arrive until Tuesday.
In the statement, Arkane Studios seems to push the blame on them not owning DirectX software and those who “insist on playing on PC.” Needless to say, fans aren’t necessarily happy with the response since the issues are plaguing both Xbox and PC users alike.
The main reasons for Redfall receiving such bad comments are the constant crashing, poor AI that can’t provide a decent challenge even at the hardest difficulty, and horrible stuttering issues. Even with a patch, the game may have already soured most players’ enjoyment to the point where they won’t give the game another bite.
This isn’t the first game this year to release with pitiful feedback. Both Forspoken and Jedi Survivor were met with horrible fan reactions thanks to countless issues ranging from crashing to stuttering and beyond. Fans are starting to get tired of the issues plaguing new releases. Hopefully, these issues don’t continue with the release of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom later this month.
