Video games are ever-increasing in scope. As technology continues to progress, developers will be able to put even more into their games. Sometimes, that is great. However, we have seen in some titles that adding too much to it can make it bloated. Not everyone wants to dedicate their whole life to beating every game. Is this the case with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2? Here is how long it takes to beat Spider-Man 2.
How long does it take to beat Spider-Man 2?
We think Spider-Man 2’s how long to beat is pretty reasonable for the kind of game it is. If you are going to mainline the story, you generally should have it done in about 15 hours. A relaxed playthrough with some side content should have you finished in about 20 hours. Finally, a full 100% completion should be done within 30 hours. You do not need to do anything special to affect the post-credits scene situation.
15-30 hours for an action-adventure game with a large open world is a pretty good timespan for Spider-Man 2. This is generally close to another recent game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It’s a game you can enjoy over a couple of weeks as you play in your free time. You don’t have to feel like you have to invest your life to get anywhere in it.
Of course, some people think the longer a game is, the better. We don’t really agree with that mindset. Things can seem to drag on if a game becomes too bloated and large (think of games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or Dragon Age Inquisition). Of course, there are exceptions in games like Persona 5 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but we feel Insomniac works at its best when it can make games of about this length.
