You’ll find plenty of Amber during your journey through The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Not only is it somewhat valuable when sold to vendors, but it also greatly improves any weapon you Fuse it to. You may also find a quest or NPC looking to collect some Amber. If any of those are the case, here’s how to get Amber in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to find Amber in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
The easiest and most reliable way to find Amber is to break ore deposits inside caves. Amber, among other gemstones, can be found in deposits of glowing black ore in caves. To get the Amber, use a weapon capable of breaking the ore. You’ll have more luck if you use a heavy armament like a hammer or one with a stone at the end of it. However, ore deposits are not the only way to collect Amber in the game.
Another source of Amber is by defeating Stone Talus’. They can be found throughout Hyrule but your best bet is to look inside caves. While they can drop Amber after defeating them, doing so can be quite challenging. Make sure you have a powerful weapon, preferably one with a stone or strong gemstone at the end of it, to deal maximum damage to the Stone Talus. Climb onto its back and aim for the ore deposit sticking out from it. If a large amount of damage is dealt, the Talus will fall over, allowing you to get in a few more hits before it stands back up. Do this enough you’ll bring it down. If all else fails, use bombs. They make quick work of any Talus.
You may also get lucky and find Amber inside chests.
What is Amber used for in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Amber has several uses in Tears of the Kingdom. While it served as a way to make Rupees in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you can do so much more with it in the sequel. Alongside selling it to Beedle, you will need it for a quest and it can be Fused to weapons to make them more powerful.
