Naydra is the ice dragon of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It was named after one of the classic goddesses of Hyrule’s world and is a passive creature. You may see it flying around the sky and think you want to ride it. Lucky for you, you can. Here is how to get on Naydra and get Naydra’s Horn in Tears of the Kingdom.

Where is Naydra in Tears of the Kingdom?

Naydra is most often found flying around East Necluda and Mount Lanayru in the southeast portion of the map. If you don’t see it here, it may have gone into the Depths, but we recommend looking above ground for it. We recommend using the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower or Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower to launch yourself into the air and then glide over to it. You can also fast travel to one of the sky islands and jump off to do the same.

Before you land on Naydra, be sure you have cold resistant clothes or have eaten food that will help you bear the cold. Otherwise, you will take damage as you walk along it.

How to get Naydra’s Horn in Tears of the Kingdom

When you land on Naydra, make your way to the front of the ice dragon. Its spiky horn is sticking out and up on the front of it. Strike it with any weapon, and Naydra’s Horn will drop. Grab it quickly; after a couple of seconds, it will fly off and fall to the ground, making you chase it. One word of caution, we recommend getting on Naydra’s snout before you strike the horn. We did it from behind, and it seems the hit detection is a little off and gave us a scale instead of the horn.

You can only get one Naydra’s Horn item at a time. If the horn isn’t glowing, you will have to come back after a Blood Moon to try again. This also extends to the spikes and claw items, as once you strike any part of its body, they all will stop glowing.

When you have Naydra’s Horn, fuse it to your favorite melee weapon for a power boost that also freezes enemies. This can be very useful in certain situations.
