There is plenty to discover in the open-world zombies game mode of Modern Warfare 3. In this game mode, you must constantly be on the lookout for new weapons, items, perks, and Schematics. Schematics are pieces of gear that you can use to permanently unlock Aether Tools, Ammo Mods, Perks, and Wonder Weapons.
If you keep searching around in Modern Warfare 3 zombies, you may even figure out how to get a pet dog. In this game mode, you must collect everything you can if you hope to survive. Anything you get will be yours to keep as long as you can get out in time. So what about Schematics? This guide will show you how to get Schematics in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies.
Modern Warfare 3 – How to get Schematics in Zombies
You won’t find schematics everywhere in Modern Warfare 3 zombies. This is because they are a rare drop. In other words, you need to get lucky and hope that an enemy of some sort drops one of these previous items for you. Luckily, you can increase your chances of getting one of these drops:
- Complete Contracts
- Clear Aether Nests
- Complete Objectives
Each of the methods listed above will grant you a greater chance of getting schematics. This is because these items can drop as rewards from any of these tasks so you should always be sure to complete them as you go through the game mode.
While clearing Aether Nests is one of the quickest tasks you can do, it is better to complete Contracts instead. This is because the rewards from Contracts are not shared and you are more likely to get something good. Oftentimes you can have rewards stolen from you by greedy teammates while clearing Aether Nests. Unfortunately, there aren’t private lobbies to rely on either. Of course, completing objectives is also a good method of getting extra loot.
How to use Schematics in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies
Once a schematic has been unlocked, you can use it to permanently unlock an item for crafting. You can only use schematics in the pre-game menu. While here, go to the inventory customization menu. Once there, select an empty spot in your inventory. This will open up an option to choose an item to place in your inventory.
In this menu, tab over to the schematics. When you have one highlighted, you will see the option to craft it. Keep in mind that each of these items has a cooldown. Depending on how powerful the item is, a longer cooldown will be required before you can use it again. This can vary from one hour to over three hours.
