How to get the Bunker Safe code in Pikmin 4

There are many secrets in Pikmin 4 that you need to solve and obstacles to overcome. Luckily, you have your plantlike Pikmin creatures and the rescue pup Oatchi by your side to help you. When you reach the Hero’s Hideaway, you are finally in the place where you can rescue Captain Olimar.

Unfortunately, Olimar isn’t simply standing around in plain sight. Instead, he is locked behind a safe that you must access. The code, however, isn’t just lying around — you need to find it. This guide will show you how to get the Bunker Safe code in Pikmin 4.

How to access the Bunker Safe in Pikmin 4

To open the Bunker Safe in Pikmin 4, you need a specific number combination. When you reach the safe, you will see that there are three symbols on it; a heart, a diamond, and a club. To get the safe code, you must find the three playing cards hidden within the level.

The first playing card is the easiest to obtain and can be found straight ahead from the first landing zone in the level. Simple walk up to the corkboard and have Oatchi rush into it. This will cause the playing card to fall so you can bring it back to the ship.

The second playing card is a bit tougher to obtain. Start by going over to the bookshelf to the right of the kitchen entrance. Once there, use the fan to reach the top. Now, leave Oatchi behind and slide across the rail to reach the stairs. Here, you will find the second playing card.

The final playing card is found in the kitchen. Once you reach the kitchen, start by pushing the box on the left side. This will reveal a hole that you can use to get on top of the shelves. From there, use the rail to slide down to the center island. Press the switch and then switch over to Oatchi and have him use the fan to get atop the island with you.

Now, go to the other end of the island and leave Oatchi behind. Use the fan to launch yourself over to the table. Switch over to Oatchi and have him turn the fan on next to the table. Once that is done, use the fan to launch you and your Pikmin over to the stair shelves. Here, you will find the final playing card.

Opening the Bunker in Hero’s Hideaway

With all three of the cards obtained, you will find the code on the right-hand side of the screen if you have the quest to open the bunker. Go over to the bunker and use your Pikmin to change the numbers on the bunker screens.

Once the correct code has been input into the Bunker Safe, it will open and you will find the Leafling inside. Get ready for one more Dandori Battle. Remember, the code is different in each playthrough. So you can’t simply input a code you had before.
