Helldivers 2 community suggests devs should “skip a warbond” to focus on issues

Earlier today, one of the Helldivers 2 Discord community managers released a statement about the patch notes for update 01.000.203 which was released earlier today. This update fixed many stability issues that were plaguing the game as well as an issue with the Ground Breaker Armor. Unfortunately, the patch also came with a long list of known issues that were introduced with the patch.

In response to the issues caused by the patch, the community manager stated, “Most of the bugs in the known issues list are actively being worked on, but they’re either large fixes that require a bit of time or low-priority issues behind other things, and most should be patched in the next major build. It’s difficult to maintain our cadence of one warbond per month while also fixing major technical glitches in time for the next patch.”

The community responded to the post with one user saying, “That’s why it would be all good if you skipped a warbond, maybe even 2 to take the time you need… A mostly bug-free experience will be the best experience, then you’ll be working with far less bugs each patch forward.”

On the Helldivers Reddit page, one user responded by saying, “If a month is not enough time then why impose such a strict time limit? The results are pretty evident, new weapons have glaring bugs. Nobody noticed that the side-arm nade launcher starts with 2 rounds in the chamber or that the eruptor explosion is a black hole?” Unfortunately, according to the community manager, “Skipping a warbond for a month is a huge company decision.” Because of this, things could remain rocky for known issues in the future with some taking a long time to get fixed.

We are sure that skipping a month to focus on the known issues and bugs wouldn’t be the worst action to take but it would have a major impact on the developers.
