The Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator was released on March 7, 2024, so you can officially use the character creation system before the game is released later this month. This creator not only lets you make your character, but it also lets you make your Main Pawn. Pawns, of course, are the allies that work with you in the game. With five presets you can make a fair number of characters before the game’s release date.
We messed around with the character creator for a little while and it is fairly impressive. It is akin to other RPG character creators you might see in games like Dark Souls. It allows you to break down what you want your character’s body to look like down to their limbs, head, and more. The creator actually has a lot of depth to it, allowing you to choose the size of different muscles like your character’s traps, muscle strength, and mass. Our favorite part of the creator is the ability to alter the tattoos across your character’s entire body as well as how you can remove individual teeth from their smile.
We easily spent hours creating a mad wizard character with poor posture and massive muscles. The only thing we noticed was that the wrinkles didn’t really appear. While unfortunate, it didn’t take away from our character creation fun. If you want to try the Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator out for yourself, you can do so on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC by going to your platform’s storefront using the links. While this isn’t the demo we were hoping for, it still gives us a glimpse of what we can expect in the finished product when it is released later this month. Hopefully, we could still see a Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo appear on the game store in the future but that seems unlikely now.
