Hades II is finally here, well not quite all of it. After more than three years in development, the Early Access version is available for PC players. Supergiant Games’ sequel to the 2018 release Hades, features the new protagonist Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld.
For those who played the first game, Hades II contains all of the stunning art and, well let’s face it, attractive characters you know, hate, and love. Although this time around Melinoë, and sister to Zagreus, has a new Magick meter. While the game is technically out and available, you’ll only be able to play up to a certain point, meaning, you can’t access the true ending of the game. In true Hades fashion, it looks like you’ll need to beat Hades II multiple times to access the final ending.
What does Early Access contain?
As for what you will find in Early Access, here’s what Supergiant has confirmed.
Hades II Early Access includes added environments, enemies, and more fully-voiced characters than the full version of the original game. The team will be adding more throughout the Early Access cycle. Plus, an in-game roadmap gives players added details about what they can expect from the full version of the game.
As an added bonus to players who prefer playing on the go, Hades II is Steam Deck verified.

Early Access is expected to run through the end of 2024. So, if you were planning on picking up the full version sometime soon, you’re going to be waiting a bit.
Supergiant Games built the Early Access version of Hades II from the ground up. As was the same Hades. The reason for the early version of the game is to allow players to provide feedback from the game. From builds, enemies, and everything players interact with, player response is an important aspect of building the best game possible.
Hades II Early Access is only available for Steam and the Epic Games Store. Hades II will be coming to PC, Mac, and consoles at a later date.
