Pokémon celebrated the end of 2023 by surprising fans with the luxury Pokémon x Tiffany & Co. collaboration, which included an 18k yellow-gold Pikachu. While this collaboration was only available for 12 hours, Pokémon is giving fans another opportunity to buy more exclusive merchandise. This next collection, which will be released later this month, features an irresistibly adorable Valentine’s Day-themed Pikachu. And, don’t worry, this one will be way more affordable compared to its Tiffany & Co. counterpart!
Looking at the preview photos, it’s difficult to say if Pikachu has ever looked cuter than this. Topped with whipped cream and a heart-shaped cherry, this new Valentine’s Day-themed Pikachu appears as several forms of merch. Among these items are a heart-shaped tin with assorted chocolates, a plush Pikachu pouch, a heart-shaped mug, and (arguably the cutest item of them all) a chocolate box/plushie combo — with the Pikachu plushie dressed up in a little apron and holding a big, red heart. Any one of these items would easily be the perfect way to tell that special someone you appreciate them, regardless of whether or not they’re an avid Pokémon fan or a casual enjoyer.
The entire collection will be available to purchase at Pokémon Center Japan beginning January 20. Unfortunately, because they are Japan-exclusive, these adorable gifts will be hard to come by for those who live in other countries. But fear not! Meccha Japan, a popular Japanese merchandise reseller, now offers the option to preorder some of the items — although there’s currently no official date for when they will become available. Regardless of the challenge, we’ll definitely be trying to get a Valentine’s Pikachu for ourselves as well!
