An Alan Wake and Phasmophobia Collab Is Coming Next Month

To kick off the year, Kinetic Games revealed its 2026 roadmap for Phasmophobia, which showcased all of the major events, new maps, and various updates coming to the game. However, there wasn’t any mention of potential collaborations, which makes the reveal of an Alan Wake event that much more special.

A Twisted Story Meets a Darker World

While at the Galaxies Showcase event, Kinetic Game announced that for the first time, the worlds of Phasmophobia will collide with Alan Wake. This crossover will come in the form of the “Phasmophobia by Alan Wake” event, which features “shifting overlap between worlds, bringing the haunting atmosphere of Alan Wake 2 into Phasmophobia.”

“It’s a natural crossover, and our art team has been hard at work capturing the atmosphere of Alan Wake 2, bringing the essence of some of the game’s iconic locations into Phasmophobia,” said Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games.

“There are many fans of Phasmophobia at Remedy, so it was a thrilling opportunity to bring these two horror worlds together,” said Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment. “It was a joy to write for this collaboration. As Alan Wake writes a new manuscript in the depths of the Dark Place, the paranormal investigators of Phasmophobia find themselves trapped in a horror story. Our two twisted worlds amplify each other perfectly.”

And fear not, fellow ghost hunters, because fans will not have to wait too long to descend into the madness as this event looks to kick off on May 12th and run until June 2nd. As for in-game rewards, we could be led to believe that upon completing various tasks within the event, players can earn ID cards, character cosmetics, and a shiny new trophy.

Writing Your Final Chapter

While on the surface, this collaboration may appear to be random and very unexpected. But Alan Wake fans know everything isn’t what it seems. Upon reading the subtext further, Alan has a notorious habit of writing himself into really bad predicaments, so he should feel right at home. Phasmophobia itself will serve as the perfect stage for hunters to classify the demonic spirits that haunt Alan and pen the conclusion of this haunting tale.
