Pragmata was released last month and has since received some amazing feedback. The game currently sits at 85% on MetaCritic and has 97% positive ratings on Steam. It is safe to say that Capcom has another major hit on its hands. Don’t take our word for it, as the Capcom USA COO has shared positive remarks about Pragmata, and has hinted that there will be more to come from the IP. It has yet to be determined what kind of future Pragmata will have among the other Capcom IPs, but Rob Dyer’s words speak volumes about the game.

Capcom COO Hints at More Pragmata Games

Chief Operating Officer at Capcom USA, Rob Dyer, made comments during a panel at the recent Licon event, which was transcribed by GameFile. During the panel, Dyer commented on the state of Pragmata, praising the title for selling over one million copies. He also stated that taking Western tastes into account has been a success for Capcom as a whole.

“We’re to a point now where we’ve got another IP that Capcom – and god bless them, has an arsenal – that we can continue to go down.” Capcom has yet another IP in its lineup that it can turn to for future titles, meaning that there could be more to come from Pragmata. Perhaps we could see more about Diana’s experiences on Earth after the ending of the game, or see another tale set in the same universe.

Dyer stated that the six years of development time on Pragmata was “worth the effort,” and that the team “took feedback” well, shaping the game into what it is today. The game, which features an astronaut named Hugh who must escape a moon base with an android companion named Diana, is a rare new IP in this modern age, and it has since been given extreme praise from the gaming community, so it would be strange not to see more of the IP in the future.
