The final chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake saga was finally announced at Summer Games Fest, and it received a release window of spring 2027. With only a year until the release of the last game in the saga, titled Resident Evil 7: Revelation, everyone is busy trying to learn everything they can about it. Recently, Naoki Hamaguchi sat down for an interview with Denfamico, and it unveiled some very interesting information about Final Fantasy 7: Revelation, such as story differences from the original game and how your choices will affect the outcome.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Choices Will Affect the Outcome
Aitaikimocki translated the recent interview between Hamaguchi and Denfamico on X. Their post on X details all the information shared during the interview, with one big aspect of the game being your choices.
“Player choice will have consequences unlike Rebirth, and this will affect the storytelling of the game. Each player might end up with a completely different experience.” The choices you make in Revelation will matter, with the interview revealing that it will affect how the game plays out. This plays into the game’s theme of there being multiple timelines.
Along with this, there will be “new stories” that are “told regarding places not explored much in the original.” It will be interesting to see the world expand beyond what was shown in the original game.
As you may know, Zack was a playable character in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, but he didn’t have many scenes. According to the interview, “Zack will have even more scenes in part three, and plays an important role.” On top of this, the interview revealed that “the idea of multiple timelines is conveyed through Zack’s presence and his part of the story.”
To add even more to this, Wutai will be getting more involvement in the story. According to the interview, “Wutai will have a very political storyline,” which makes sense in the world of Final Fantasy 7. Yuffie should definitely play a role in this conflict.
Capping it off, Hamaguchi stated that “Final Fantasy 7: Revelation does have an ending.” Along with this, the ending is one that “Hamaguchi is proud of that serves as a conclusion to a series that has taken more than ten years.”
