Helldivers 2 has received a lot of attention recently with the devs adding plenty of new content to the game. It all started when The Game Awards rolled around and the team brought in the Illuminate. Shortly after, melee weapons were added to Helldivers 2. What followed was everyone’s ability to unlock the FRV and drive around any map. Now, some players have their eyes glued to the DSS, hoping it will receive some sort of upgrade. Well, the Helldivers 2 devs have no plans to implement a common area to the DSS but “more exciting things” are in the works.
Helldivers 2 developer Sephez has been very responsive in the Discord server – answering many community members’ questions. Recently, they spoke up about how the team is looking for ways to increase the difficulty beyond 10. CEO Jorjani has also talked about the recent movie announcement and how he wants to see A-list actors die in it.
Helldivers 2 dev talks about upcoming content
Many players have been asking the developers about the plans they have in store for the game’s future. While the developers won’t give anything away, there are some bits of information they reveal. For instance, one player asked if the team has “any plans on implementing a DSS common area where more than four Helldivers can hang out.”
In response to this inquiry, developer Sephez said, “Nothing being worked on currently, we’re focusing our efforts on other more exciting things.” They stated again in a later post that the “teams are working hard on getting more content ready.”
While nothing is confirmed, there are rumors about future content for Helldivers 2. A popular leaker named IronS1ghts revealed that the weapons customization system is “being worked on.” On top of this, the leaker has also talked about future weapon customization using skins but it is unclear when or if this will appear in the game.
