The release of the new Magic: The Gathering card set is coming up! Pre-orders are currently available for the Jue 14th release of Modern Horizons 3. This set will bring back the Eldrazi that were first introduced in a 2009 set. Magic has just released a first look for the design of the Collector’s Edition Commander decks.

There will be four Commander decks, one for each of the new Commanders in Modern Horizons 3. Disa the Restless can return cards from the graveyard. Omo, Queen of Vesuva uses counters to enhance land and creature cards. Satya, Aetherflux Genius can make copies of creatures via tokens. And finally Ulalek, Fused Monstrosity is an Eldrazi that lets you copy spell, activated, and trigger effects.

The Collector’s Editions are quite beautifully designed. They feature 100 cards and every single one of them has an exclusive new foil treatment to make them even prettier. If you are a big spender and want all four Commander decks, the pre-orders on Amazon are listed at $600 for all of them together.

Magic: The Gathering is also launching a Buy-A-Box promotion. At local game stores that sell Magic cards, purchasing a full display of Play Boosters or Collector Boosters, or a Collector’s Edition Commander Deck, will earn a special reward. Customers will also receive a free Flusterstorm promo card. This is while supplies last, of course. The blue Flusterstorm card is an Instant that allows players to counter a target Instant or Sorcery unless its controller pays 1.

The Modern Horizons 3 set can be pre-ordered on the Magic: The Gathering website or Amazon with options including massive bundles, Boosters, and special collector’s items. There are only 250 total card prints each for the god-like titans, the Eldrazi, across the entire set. Will your Booster be the lucky one?

Will you fight against the Eldrazi or join them? Choose your Commander and head to your gaming table next month!
